Diving into the Virtual World │ Our VR Adventure in Amsterdam

Hey fellow curious minds! Today, I'm super excited to chat about something out of the ordinary – Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) teaching. It's like turning learning into a magical journey, and I can't wait to spill the beans.

This teaching style is a lot more than your usual classroom style. We're talking about taking students to cool places without actually taking them to cool places! It's like bringing lessons to life beyond boring textbooks.

Teaming up with the fantastic Belinay Yigit, we cooked up a VR delight. Imagine a document introducing the fantastic city of Amsterdam, inviting students to virtually roam its streets and check out its famous spots. VR technology and 360 videos made it feel like they were actually there, and sprinkling questions throughout kept things lively.

Taking this virtual ride had its challenges. Making sure our ideas matched, smoothing out the VR experience, and fixing tech glitches needed some serious teamwork. But you know what? Every hiccup was like a little victory, bringing us closer to nailing it.

Wandering through Amsterdam's canals via VR was a game-changer. It wasn't just learning; it was feeling connected to the landmarks. This project makes sure that students won’t be just learning, but they will be exploring!

As we keep rocking the boat with new teaching tricks, let's keep this VR/AR thing in our toolkit. The virtual world isn't just a tool; it's like a secret door to awesome learning.
