Flipping the Script │ A Journey into the Flipped Classroom Realm

Updated: Dec 31, 2023

Hello language enthusiasts! Today, I'm excited to share an innovative teaching approach that Belinay Yigit and I dived into – the Flipped Classroom. First things first, let's unravel what this fancy term means.

In a nutshell, the flipped classroom flips the traditional teaching model. Instead of learning new content during class time, students engage with materials at home through videos or other resources. Classroom time is then devoted to activities, discussions, and clarifying doubts.

The flipped model offers flexibility; students can learn at their own pace. It fosters a more interactive class environment. However, challenges may lurk, like students not watching the videos. Striking the right balance is key.

Belinay and I embarked on creating a flipped teaching video using Renderforest, Canva, and Movavi. The process was an exciting rollercoaster of creativity. I handled the first part, setting the stage, while Belinay took charge of the quiz segment, making it interactive and engaging.

Like any adventure, we faced challenges. Coordinating schedules and seamlessly transitioning between our video parts required meticulous planning. Regular check-ins and open communication were our go-to strategies. Teamwork paved the way for a harmonious collaboration.

Renderforest was our visual maestro, allowing us to craft engaging video content with its user-friendly interface. Movavi polished our raw footage, adding finesse with its editing features, and Canva brought life to our quizzes with its design prowess.
