It is obvious that 21st-century learning is totally different from the last century’s learning. As time passes, the world changes, and new generations begin their education with different needs from the past ones. As their needs are different from the previous student’s, education starts to change and evolve to keep up with their needs.
At the moment, as of the 3rd decade of the 21st-century, education is more technology involved, interactive, engaging, creative, and innovative. It is not teacher-oriented as in the last decades, it puts students at the center of the learning process. They are not expected to know and master only their classes, but to be knowledgeable on everyday subjects like environment, health, business, finance, and entrepreneurship. They must know basic math, of course, but they also have to know how to survive basically. They have to know how to communicate with others, manage their money, and their civil rights.
As stated, teaching practices are not unchangeable. People who need to learn are changing, and each generation wants a different approach. That’s why, even if there are so-called ideal teaching methods, they can and will change too.
